Medical Definition of Fibrinogen-fibrin conversion syndrome

1. A syndrome characterised by hypofibrinogenaemia with incoagulable blood; it may be seen in abruptio placentae, prolonged retention of a dead foetus in an Rh-isosensitised mother, haemolytic blood reactions, bilateral renal cortical necrosis, and cases of trauma. (05 Mar 2000)
