Soluble protein fragments formed by the proteolytic action of plasmin on fibrin or fibrinogen. Fdp and their complexes profoundly impair the haemostatic process and are a major cause of haemorrhage in intravascular coagulation and fibrinolysis.
Pharmacological action: antithrombins.
