Medical Definition of Epicondylalgia externa
1.
Inflammation at the lateral epicondyle (bony process of the humerus) of the elbow and the tendons insertions.
It has earned the name tennis elbow because of the common occurrence of this condition in tennis players (constant dorsiflexion of the wrist).
