Medical Definition of Endoplasmin

most abundant protein in microsomal preparations from mammalian cells (100 fold more concentrated in endoplasmic reticulum than elsewhere). A glycoprotein (100 kD) with calcium binding properties. Same as glucose related protein. A member of the hsp90 family of heat-shock proteins.
