Medical Definition of Dimethylnitrosamine

N-nitrosodimethylamine. A nitrosamine derivative with alkylating, carcinogenic, and mutagenic properties. It causes serious liver damage and is a hepatocarcinogen in rodents.
Pharmacological action: alkylating agents, carcinogens, mutagens.
