Medical Definition of Denturists
1. Dental technicians who provide dentures for patients without benefit of a dentist's professional services. Their duties include taking impressions and bite registrations for preparing and repairing dentures and fitting dentures. They are rarely found in the united states, where their practice is illegal in many states, but are becoming increasingly common in canada. (12 Dec 1998)
