Medical Definition of Cry reflex
1. A sudden unconscious cry, during sleep, in a child with hip disease, long bone fractures, or other painful conditions of the extremities, elicited by movement of muscles that have relaxed after prolonged muscle spasms. (05 Mar 2000)
