Medical Definition of Corepraxy
1. A procedure designed to widen a small pupil. Origin: G. Kore, pupil, + praxis, action Laser corepraxy, the iris stroma is heated with a laser and the resultant contracture of iris tissue widens the pupil. Mechanical corepraxy, a procedure that lodges the pupillary margin in the groove of a device which, when widened, stretches the pupillary edge to make the pupil larger. (05 Mar 2000)
