Medical Definition of Coracoid process

1. A long curved projection from the neck of the scapula overhanging the glenoid cavity; it gives attachment to the short head of the biceps, the coracobrachialis, and the pectoralis minor muscles, and the conoid and coracoacromial ligaments. Synonym: processus coracoideus. (05 Mar 2000)
