(sp-4-2)-diamminedichloroplatinum. The cis-isomer of a simple platinum compound that has antineoplastic action and may enhance tumour antigenicity as a result of binding to DNA. The compound also causes renal damage.
Pharmacological action: antineoplastic agent, radiation-sensitizing agents.
