Medical Definition of Cervicothoracic ganglion
1. A sympathetic trunk ganglion lying behind the subclavian artery near the origin of the vertebral artery, it is formed by the fusion of the inferior cervical ganglion, at the level of the seventh cervical vertebra, with the first thoracic ganglion. Synonym: ganglion stellatum, stellate ganglion. (05 Mar 2000)
