2,3-epoxy-4-oxo-7,10-dodecadionamide. Antifungal antibiotic isolated from several species, including acremonium (cephalosporium), acrocylindrum, and helicoceras. It inhibits the biosynthesis of several lipids by interfering with enzyme function and is used as a biochemical tool.
Pharmacological action: antibiotics, antifungal.
