Medical Definition of Broad ligament of the uterus
1. The peritoneal fold passing from the lateral margin of the uterus to the wall of the pelvis on either side, and in so doing also ensheathing the ovaries and uterine tubes. Synonym: ligamentum latum uteri. (05 Mar 2000)
