Medical Definition of Bovine virus diarrhoea-mucosal disease

1. Acute disease of cattle caused by the bovine viral diarrhoea virus (diarrhoea virus, bovine viral). Often mouth ulcerations are the only sign but fever, diarrhoea, drop in milk yield, and loss of appetite are also seen. Mortality is high in animals showing clinical signs, especially diarrhoea.
