Medical Definition of Auricular ganglion
1. An autonomic ganglion situated below the foramen ovale medial to the mandibular nerve; its postganglionic, parasympathetic fibres are distributed to the parotid gland. Synonym: ganglion oticum, Arnold's ganglion, auricular ganglion, otoganglion. (05 Mar 2000)
