Medical Definition of Antigen presentation
1.
An immunocompetent cell that mediates the cellular immune response by presenting antigens or mitogens bound to MHC Class I or Class II molecules, which stimulate T-cell activation.
Includes macrophages, endothelial cells, dendritic cells and Langerhans cells in the skin.
