6-(((hexahydro-1h-azepin-1-yl)methylene)amino)-3,3-dimethyl- 7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo(3.2.0)heptane-2-carboxylic acid (2,2-dimethyl-1-oxopropoxy)methyl ester. Pivaloyloxymethyl ester of amdinocillin that is well absorbed orally, but broken down to amdinocillin in the intestinal mucosa. It is active against gram-negative organisms and used as for amdinocillin.
Pharmacological action: penicillins.
