Medical Definition of Acrokeratosis verruciformis

1. Warty hyperkeratotic lesions that are found on the dorsal aspect of the hands and feet and on the knees and elbows. There appears to be phenotypic overlap between this and Darier-White disease and they may not be separate entities. Clinical features include: acrokeratosis, warty hyperkeratosis on the dorsal hands, feet, knees and elbows. See: benign familial pemphigus. Inheritance: autosomal dominant. (05 Aug 1998)
