1. A genus of operculate freshwater snails related to Oncomelania (the Schistosoma japonicum intermediate hosts) of the subfamily triculinae, family Hydrobiidae, subclass Prosobranchiata; it includes Tricula aperta, intermediate host of Schistosoma mekongi. (05 Mar 2000)
