Medical Definition of Sly syndrome
1.
An autosomal recessive disorder due to a deficiency of a beta-glucuronidase; defective lysosomal degradation of dermatan sulfate, heparan sulfate, and chondroitin sulfate; cellular function disrupted in most tissues.
Synonym: type VII mucopolysaccharidosis, type VIII mucopolysaccharidosis.
