Definition of Sasang typology
1. Noun. A traditional Korean medical typology which divides peopel in four types based on their bio-psycho-social traits ; Tae-Yang, So-Yang, Tae-Eum and So-Eum type. ¹
2. Noun. A traditional Korean medical system theorized by Lee Jae-ma in his book Dong-eui-soo-se-bo-won (The principle of life preservation in oriental medicine) in 1894. Sasang typology provides type-specific treatment with acupuncture, traditional medical herbs and others. ¹
