1. A living, attenuated strain (17D) of yellow fever virus propagated in embryonated fowl eggs. A suspension of dried mouse brain infected with French neurotropic (Dakar) strain of yellow fever virus, administered topically by the scratch method; not officially recommended in the United States because of meningoencephalitic reactions.
