1. Numerous (8 to 10) veins that drain the dorsal convexity of the cortical hemisphere and empty into the superior sagittal sinus, curving rostrally in passing through the subdural space so as to enter the sinus at an acute forward angle. Synonym: venae cerebri superiores. (05 Mar 2000)
