A nonpeptide kappa-opiod receptor agonist which has also been found to stimulate the release of adrenocorticotropin (acth) via the release of hypothalmic arginine vasopressin and corticitropin releasing factor.
Pharmacological action: analgesics, non-narcotic, antihypertensive agents.
