1. A dopamine antagonist that is particularly useful in treating the nausea and vomiting associated with anaesthesia, mildly emetic cancer chemotherapy agents, radiation therapy, and toxins. This piperazine phenothiazine does not prevent vertigo or motion sickness. Pharmacological action: antiemetics, dopamine antagonists.
