1. White plaques of hyalinised fibrous tissue situated in the epicardium overlying the right ventricle of the heart where it is not covered by lung. Synonym: soldier's patches. White macroscopic areas in the omentum, due to accumulation of macrophages and lymphocytes. Synonym: tache laiteuse. (05 Mar 2000)
