Medical Definition of Sinding-larson-johansson disease

1. Contusion and subsequent tendonitis in the proximal attachment of the patellar tendon, can be followed by calcification, ossification, or frank inferior pole avulsion fractures that produce one or more distinct ossicles. Symptoms: tenderness and soft tissue swelling over the lower pole of the patella, aggregated by activity X-ray findings: osseous fragmentation of patella (12 Dec 1998)
