Medical Definition of Sacral nerves

1. Five nerves issuing from the sacral foramina on either side; the ventral branches of the first three enter into the formation of the sacral plexus, and the last two into the coccygeal plexus. Synonym: nervi sacrales. (05 Mar 2000)
