1. A highly pathogenic protozoan disease of cattle in Zimbabwe caused by Theileria parva bovis and transmitted by the tick Rhipicephalus appendiculatus. See: kaodzera. Tropical theileriosis, a highly pathogenic protozoan disease of cattle in northern Africa, southern Europe, the Near and Middle East, and central Asia; caused by Theileria annulata and transmitted by ticks of the genus Hyalomma.
