Medical Definition of Quinidine sulfate

1. The salt of quinidine that is customarily administered as a cardiac antiarrhythmic agent. The drug depresses myocardial conduction, contraction, automaticity and contraction; it also by a direct effect impairs conduction through the atrioventricular node.
