1-ethenyl-2-pyrrolidinone homopolymer. A polyvinyl polymer of variable molecular weight; used as suspending and dispersing agent and vehicle for pharmaceuticals; also used as blood volume expander.
Pharmacological action: pharmaceutic aid, plasma substitutes.
