Medical Definition of Polyphloretin phosphate

1. A polymeric mixture of polyesters of phosphoric acid and phloretin. It blocks some cellular responses to prostaglandins. Pharmacological action: prostaglandin antagonists. Chemical name: 1-Propanone, 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-(2,4,6-trihydroxyphenyl)-, phosphate, homopolymer (12 Dec 1998)
