1. A mixed hair and food ball, consisting of vegetable fibres, seeds and skins of fruits, and animal hair that are matted together to form a ball in the stomach of man or animals, especially ruminants. Synonym: phytotrichobezoar. Origin: tricho-+ G. Phyton, plant, + bezoar (05 Mar 2000)
