Medical Definition of Oxalosis

1. A genetic disease of autosomal recessive inheritance that results in the deposition of calcium oxalate in the genitourinary system and kidneys (nephrocalcinosis). Usually evident in the first decade of life, progressive renal failure is not uncommon. Inheritance: autosomal recessive. (27 Sep 1997)
