Medical Definition of Olivopontocerebellar atrophy

1. A collection of diseases with atrophy of the cerebellum, pons, and inferior olives described in 1900 by dejerine and thomas. Signs and symptoms include ataxia of trunk and limbs, dysarthria, intention tremor, followed by generalised rigidity and dementia. (12 Dec 1998)
