One of the variable branches of the occipital artery which may pass through the jugular or parietal foramina or condyloid canal to reach the dura mater and bone of the posterior cranial fossa, as well as the intracranial portions of the caudal four cranial neres.
Synonym: ramus meningeus arteriae occipitalis.
