Medical Definition of Medial ligament of talocrural joint

1. Compound ligament consisting of four component ligaments which pass downward from the medial malleolus of the tibia to the tarsal bones: 1) tibionavicular ligament (pars tibionavicularis ), 2) tibiocalcaneal ligament (pars tibiocalcanea ), 3) anterior tibiotalar ligament (pars tibiotalaris anterior ), and 4) posterior tibiotalar ligament (pars tibiotalaris posterior ).
