1. A lichenoid eruption of papules or plaques of mucinous oedema due to deposit of glycosaminoglycans in the skin and fibroblast proliferation, in the absence of endocrine disease. See: scleromyxoedema. Synonym: papular mucinosis. (05 Mar 2000)
