Medical Definition of Lacunar ligament

A curved fibrous band that passes horizontally backward from the medial end of the inguinal ligament to the pectineal line; it forms the medial boundary of the femoral ring.

Synonym: ligamentum lacunare, Gimbernat's ligament.
