Medical Definition of Keratohyalin granule
1. Granules found in living cells of keratinising epithelia and which contribute to the keratin content of the dead cornified cells. Some, but not all, contain sulphur rich keratin. This entry appears with permission from the Dictionary of Cell and Molecular Biology (11 Mar 2008)
