Medical Definition of Intracranial tuberculoma

1. A well-circumscribed mass found cortically or subcortically in the cerebral or cerebellar hemispheres. In under-developed countries where tuberculosis is endemic these lesions are quite common. Management of intracranial tuberculomas includes antituberculosis chemotherapy and neurosurgical evacuation of tuberculomas singly or in combination. (04 Jul 2000)
