1. Bad breath. Causes include smoking, poor dental hygiene, alcoholism, throat infection, dental infection, sinusitis, lung infection, gum disease, impacted tooth and a foreign body in the nose (children). Regular dental flossing and brushing can reduce this problem. (13 Nov 1997)
