Medical Definition of Fibrinopurulent inflammation

1. A purulent inflammation in which the exudate contains an unusually large amount of fibrin; also, a fibrinous or serofibrinous inflammation in which the accumulation of large numbers of polymorphonuclear leukocytes results in liquefactive necrosis of tissue and the formation of pus with a relatively large quantity of fibrin.
