Medical Definition of Dorsal longitudinal fasciculus
1. A bundle of thin, poorly myelinated nerve fibres reciprocally connecting the periventricular zone of the hypothalamus with ventral parts of the central gray substance of the midbrain. Synonym: fasciculus longitudinalis dorsalis, Schutz' bundle, tract of Schutz. (05 Mar 2000)
