Medical Definition of Cutaneous habronaemiasis

1. Chronic granulomatous sores on the skin of horses caused by fly-borne larvae of Draschia megastoma (primarily), Habronema muscae, and habronaemiasis majus which are deposited in skin wounds; the lesions are characterised by being pulpy and persistent but usually regress spontaneously in winter.
