1. A neonatal syndrome characterised by muscular hypotonia, incomplete myelinization of nervous tissue, craniofacial malformations, hepatomegaly, and small glomerular cysts of the kidney; there is a perturbation in peroxisomes; autosomal recessive inheritance.
Synonym: Zellweger syndrome.
