Medical Definition of Carneous degeneration

1. Necrosis, with staining by haemoglobin, which may occur in uterine myomas, especially during pregnancy; marked by softening and a red colour resembling partly cooked meat. Synonym: carneous degeneration. (05 Mar 2000)
