Medical Definition of Carcinoid flush
1. Periodic hyperaemia (flushing) of the skin of the face and other parts of the body seen in patients with a carcinoid tumour; the mediator has not been identified but it is not serotonin; flush can be precipitated by alcohol, food, stress, or palpation of the liver. (05 Mar 2000)
