1. An antimetabolite antineoplastic agent with general properties similar to those of cytarabine. It inhibits cellular pyrimidine synthesis and has been used mainly in the treatment of acute non-lymphoblastic leukaemia. Pharmacological action: antimetabolites, antineoplastic.
