1. An intravenous drug for treatment of cryptococcal meningitis, candidiasis, histoplasmosis and coccidiomycosis and other fungal infections. It is given intravenously.
Toxicities are severe and include fevers, chills, headache, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, kidney damage and neutropenia.
